Recovered Ramblings (4)

Rendered at the edge of a question paper in super small script.
Inspired by the presence of Madam Naila Burney as the invigilator during my O'level Literature Mocks,
C-3-D, Fall, 1996

Silent Tears

Moon-lit shadows
By a moon-lit pond
They walked together
In an unspoken bond
Thier miseries so trivial,
Thier love so sweet
The world lay helpless,
Succumbed at thier feet.
Her beauty majestic,
His love so true.
They harbored perfection,
God alone could brew.
Love blinded thier vision,
His from hers.
Their eyes never tasted,
The salt of tears.
Until the day,
When he walked away,
Leaving her stranded,
Alone, Astray.
He would never return,
She knew as much.
Yes she waited,
Love is such!
A moon-lit shadow,
By a moon-lit pond.
Alone she waited,
For an unspoken bond.
Held by the heart,
Defying all fears.
Alone she wept,
Her dry, silent tears.

Not bad, not bad at all. The one line "held by the heart" resonated with me.
